Todays Rotherham Advertiser reports that the club and the supporters could find out next week what the outcome of the councils valuation of Millmoor is.
As we all know the local authority and the Booth family have been in talks over the proposed sale of the ground to the council.
The local authority are hoping to turn the ground into a community stadium with the football club sharing with the rugby club if a deal can be struck.
As we are all aware dealing with the Booth family is a tricky business at best going on past dealings so we all need to keep our fingers crossed.
The chairman of Rotherham United is also quoted as saying that the club needs a modern stadium so it can attract more supporters plus better commercial and marketing revenues.
My personal view is that we should be looking at moving away from Millmoor and to build a new stadium just like our neighbours Doncaster have, but time will tell if that will happen.
