Ex-Rotherham United defender, Ian Breckin, is confident that the Millers can do his team, Nottingham Forest, a favour on Saturday by beating Bristol City.

Forest are one point behind City, who are in the second automatic promotion slot, so a victory for Mark Robins side and a win for Forest against Crewe would see Colin Calderwood’s team pinch the final spot.

Breckin told TeamTalk, ‘I am hoping Rotherham can do us a favour. City are in the best position at the moment as they have a one-point advantage. But, Rotherham aren’t a bad team and I expect them to go to Bristol and put on a good performance.

‘Rotherham are not as bad as their position in the table suggests and I hope the weekend goes well for them as well as for us.

‘I will be making a few phone calls this week to get the Rotherham boys revved up.’
