Both Teams Hoping To Have Injured Players Back Today

|

Rotherham United make the short journey to Hillsborough for the first away South Yorkshire derby of the season a game that is now ALL TICKET.

The Millers go into this game in twentieth place with Sheffield Wednesday three places and three points above them.

The last time out both teams lost away from home – the Owls to Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham to Norwich City. The Owls last home game saw them win one-nil against Bolton Wanderers.

Wednesday Manager Jos Luhukay says he knows that it is a ‘big game’ today and his team will go out and give everything to try to win.

Sheffield Wednesday will be without Fernando Forestieri after he picked up an injury in the last game and Barry Bannon will be given a late fitness test but Ash Baker is back in contention after suspension.

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that the Owls have some good players who have some outstanding talent but also said that he has some lads in his team who can definitely cause problems too. Warney also said that both sets of coaching staff will be trying to get both teams up for the game so they start on the front foot.

The Millers have doubts over Joe Newell, Clark Robertson, Matty Palmer and Kyle Vassell although it’s hoped at least two of them will be available while this game has probably come too early for Sean Raggett although it is thought that he could feature off the bench if needed.

The referee for this game is Darren Bond from Lancashire.
