Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman, has told The Star that he was surprised how many managers were out there looking for a job, after the sacking of manager Alan Knill on Thursday.

‘I was surprised how many people showed interest so quickly,’ he said. But he stressed, ‘There is no need for us to make a quick decision. We will study those who have shown an interest and get our heads round it next week.’

It will be the first time Mr Coleman and his three fellow directors have had a managerial appointment to make.

Mark Robins will be in charge for today’s game against Bradford City.
