Ball and Taylor Wanted Men

|

Rotherham United pair David Ball and Jon Taylor are both ‘wanted men’.

Striker Ball, says The Gazette is on the wanted list of Blackpool and probably Fleetwood Town while Teamtalk tell us that twenty-six year old Taylor is on Sunderland and Barnsley’s radar.

Ball joined the Millers in June 2017 after five years with Fleetwood but after scoring nine goals in thirty-eight appearances in his first season he played in just three games last season before falling out of favour and spent the majority of his time on loan with Bradford City who were relegated to League Two. It is also thought that City are also showing interest in the twenty-nine year old along with other League One sides.

Winger Tayls came to the New York Stadium from Peterborough in August 2016 but has turned down a new offer and is on the lookout for a new club. He’s made one hundred and thirty appearances in a Rotherham shirt, forty-four of those coming last season when he scored four goals.

Personally, I’d be disappointed if Taylor went to a League One side after turning down an offer from the Millers because he wanted to stay in the Championship and, if it’s right that our neighbours at Oakwell are in the running for him, perhaps, for me, it would be better if he went there.
