Notts County Reserves 2 Rotherham Untied Reserves 4

Rotherham United Reserves came away from Ilkeston with a win this afternoon which also defender Clark Robertson his first game time since the beginning of September.

Only some good work from Millers ‘keeper Laurence Bilboe in the opening minute kept the hosts out but after more pressure County deservedly took the lead ten minutes in with a goal from Kristian Dennis but an Anthony Forde free-kick curled into the net nine minutes later giving host ‘keeper Branislav Pindroch little chance. Robertson had to be alert to put a Will Patching corner over before a shot from the edge of the area from Campbell went close. At the other end Pindroch dashed out to get to a ball before Joshua Kayode before Bilboe was called into action again to deny Dennis at the far post.

The Millers took the lead for the first time in the match around the fifty minute mark with a well struck shot from the edge of the area from Mitchell Carlton while Laurence Bilboe had to keep out both Terry Hawkridge and Patching. Minutes later Rotherham got a third with a brave header from Jacques Etia with the hosts making it three-two with a goal from Remaye Campbell on the sixty-seventh minute from six yards out. The Millers should have gone further in front but Eita hit his shot straight into the waiting ‘keepers arms but with twelve minutes to go Ben Wiles skipped past his marker to make it four-two to the visitors. Bilboe stopped County scoring again when he got his legs in the way of a shot from Campbell and in the final minutes of the game Kion Etete saw a header go over the crossbar.
