All Fit For The Weekend?

A strong Rotherham United side took on Scunthorpe United yesterday in a behind closed doors game at the Millers training ground.

The ‘fringe’ players in the squad, who Millers Boss Paul Warne says will play some part in the final part of the season were put through their paces with the Millers Boss telling iFOLLOW that it would be good for them to play in a game like this because it’s something you can’t ‘replicate’ in training.

Meanwhile, while the rest of the squad were training elsewhere Warney said that defender Michael Ihiekwe had taken a ‘bit of a hit’ on Saturday just under his knee which he’d had a scan on and it was hoped that winger Jon Taylor would be back in training after suffering a dead leg. There didn’t seem any worries about Michael Smith who has been playing with a broken toe for a few weeks.

Meanwhile, Kyle Vassell has had surgery on a groin problem and the striker will have a lot of hard work in front of him.

The game, by the way, ended two-two.
