Rotherham United’s young defender Akeem Hinds has joined Bradford Park Avenue on loan until January.

The twenty-year-old full-back came through the Youth Academy with the Millers making his debut for the first team in the EFL Trophy in October 2017 against Chesterfield playing again in the same competition the following month away at Bradford City.

After signing a professional contract last summer Akeem went out on loan to the Northern Premier League Division One with Frickley Athletic and was out on loan again in the same division with Hyde United in March.

May this year saw Akeem sign a new contract which will keep him at the New York Stadium until next summer. He has played in this summer’s pre-season friendlies, which included forty-five minutes against Parkgate, an hour or so against Park Avenue and the last ten minutes last Saturday at home against Leicester City.

‘I’m delighted,’ Akeen told Bradford Park Avenue’s Official Site, ‘and can’t wait to get going.’

All at Vital Rotherham send Akeem ‘all the best’ in his loan spell.
