A Spirited Rotherham Performance Doesn’t Get A Reward – Match Stats

Following the midweek victory over Queens Park Rangers, Rotherham United welcomed Norwich City to the New York Stadium for today’s Championship clash.

With improving form and results for Paul Warne’s side in recent times, this weekend could see the club move out of the relegation zone depending on results elsewhere around the country. Norwich would certainly not be an easy clash though as they continue to sit pretty in top spot with an unblemished record over the last five games.

The visitors did take the lead in the 45th minute but Semi Ajayi had Rotherham back on level terms shortly after the halftime restart. Despite battling well and more than matching the table toppers when it came to chances, Norwich nicked the three points and the win with a second goal just prior to the hour mark in the game.

I imagine most will be looking to take the positives given this one was always going to be a tough one to win.
