A Quick Look What The Stats Say

Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday played out a two-all draw yesterday giving both sides a point when really the Millers should, perhaps, have been coming away with all three.

I thought Paul Warne’s side battled well after the first five minutes of so and well deserved the win. In fact, I was a bit surprised to see that the Owls possession was more than our.

Our duels on the ground and in the air were the better with corners being more or less the same. We had twenty-five shots at goal to the visitors eleven with six of our being on target to the Owls’ four.

And, of those six on target we really should have got at least another two goals – an open goal for a striker to head in and it’s missed; an open net for a player to hit the ball into and it went wide. These are the chances we have to take and, I hope, the chances we aren’t ruing at the end of the season.

Our team worked hard today, never stopped – we can’t really ask more than that, can we?
