A Quick Look At The Stats – Millers v The U’s

Rotherham United got another away win yesterday, beating Cambridge United at the Abbey Stadium one-nil.

But what do the stats look like?

Possession wise the Millers had forty-eight per cent winning the aerial duels with a good majority of fifty-six per cent to forty-four while the corners were pretty even – four to Rotherham and three to the U’s.

Our passing accuracy in our opponents half came out as sixty per cent while our tackle success rate was sixty-nine per cent to Cambridge’s eighty-two per cent. We conceded sixteen fouls to the hosts nine while there were two yellow cards given to Cambridge and one to the Millers.

Attack wise we had twelve shots at goal of which six were on target with Cambridge having one on target from six shots. Of our shots eight of them were from inside the box.

Honestly, I think it was a pretty even game all round and I wouldn’t have been surprised at it ending goalless. I think of the chances ours were the better as I don’t think our ‘keeper was troubled that much while their ‘keeper pulled off a couple of very good saves.

But we got the three points and kept a clean sheet – what else could we want?

Up The Millers and Have A Happy Christmas One and All.
