Rotherham United have a number of players out on loan at the moment but do we know how they are going on – or have been going on until the season was put on hold due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Striker Jamie Proctor signed a two year deal with the Millers in July 2017 from Bolton Wanderers and had a good first pre-season. But his actual season was short-lived when he was stretchered off after just his sixth game due to a knee injury not to be seen again that season. The following season he scored four goals in eighteen appearances and even signed a new two-and-a-half year deal before a hip injury in December finished that season for him. This season he played a handful of games before joining Scunthorpe United on a season long loan. The twenty-seven year old made fourteen appearances for the Iron, scoring once, before being recalled by Paul Warne and then finding himself back out on loan at National League side Fylde. Up to now Jamie has played eight times for the Coasters scoring once his last game being in March.

Another striker Jerry Yates who came through the Youth ranks with Rotherham United is currently on loan with League Two side Swindon Town. Jerry has twice won the Millers Young Player of the Season and has recently had loan spells with Harrogate Railway, Harrogate Town and Carlisle United before joining the Robins in the summer on a season long loan. He scored on his debut for Swindon and went on to get another eleven goals before being recalled half-way through January, come off the bench for a couple of minutes for the Millers away at Peterborough, only to return to the County Ground eight days later going on to play in another six games and scoring the opener in a three-one win over Grimsby. The twenty-three year old also got the second red of his career this season when he and Colchester Cohen Bramall were given their marching orders after an altercation just after the hour mark.

Next of our loanees is Julien Lamy who only joined the Millers in the summer making his debut in the Football League Trophy home win over Doncaster Rovers in October. The winger/midfielder has made three League appearances for Rotherham all coming off the bench before going out on loan to AFC Wimbledon at the end of January who he has played twice for, the last time being in a five-nil defeat at Oxford in February.

Making his way through the Youth set-up at Rotherham forward Joshua Kayode made his only appearance for the Millers in the Football League Trophy game against Doncaster with him moving a couple of days later to National League North side Gateshead. JJ scored on his debut for the Tynesiders and made it two in two when his next game came in the FA Cup. He played one more game for Gateshead before returning to the New York Stadium in January and signed a new deal which kept him a Rotherham player until 2022. January saw him move back out on loan this time to League Two outfit Carlisle where he has scored three times in five games his last goal coming from the penalty spot on Tuesday.

Also out on loan is Jake Southern-Cooper who joined National side Gateshead in December, originally on a one month loan but extended the deal in January keeping him at the Gateshead International Stadium until the end of the season. Jake has scored twice in fourteen appearances for Gateshead.
